Pandemic creator Matt Leacock first cottoned on to the benefits of cooperative gaming while playing, of all things, a Lord Of The Rings game. “This was a game that, win or lose, we all felt good as a family. You didn’t get the bitterness you might get if someone lost horribly or someone gloated over a win.”"
